Appearance: Asian. Brown eyes. Black hair that partially covers his face. Freckles. 5' 5". 135 lbs. Wide nostrils, round cheeks. His chin almost comes to a point. Often wears a white T-shirt with black jeans. He keeps his PokeGear and PokeBalls on a silver belt around his waist. His money is kept in a wallet with a chain. Sometimes he wears a black beanie that he keeps in his backpack (which is blue plaid) when he's not wearing it.

Personality: Sungmin is determined and kind, but very shy. He gets nervous easily, and he rarely talks unless he has to. He will talk to people if they initiate the conversation, but he's not likely to speak first. He wants to change that, so he decided to go off alone to challenge the Pokemon League in the hopes that if he was completely on his own, he would be forced to interact with others. However, if you ever get him talking, he might not shut up. He talks to his Pokemon frequently, especially if he thinks no one's around. He's unsure of himself, and afraid that he won't be able to beat even one Gym. To make himself feel less alone, he tends to keep at least one of his Pokemon out of its PokeBall at all times.

Bio: Originally from Lavender Town in Kanto, Sungmin moved to Violet City when he decided to take the Pokemon League Challenge, because he wanted to see the rare Johto Pokemon on his journeys. His whole life up until he moved out at 16, Sungmin lived with his parents in Lavender Town. There, they raised ghost Pokemon. Sungmin decided to leave behind his ghost Pokemon in favor of having a new battling experience- which prompted his grandfather to give him a Cyndaquil he had recently acquired. After that, he packed a single backpack full of things he might need- such as PokeBalls and snacks- and, with a small bundle of money given to him by his parents, set out. He walked to Saffron and caught the Magnet Train to Goldenrod, then walked to Violet City, where he met a nice old couple who offered to let him stay at their place any time he was in town.

Side note: Sungmin is a trainer I actually have on Pokemon Silver. His legitimate 6th Pokemon is a Mew, but I left it out of his party to avoid making his team too strong for potential roleplays.
