I'm not really into joining a band either. >.> I play the Piano just for the fun and joy of it, not to make money and such.

I have the 'easy' versions of "Circle of Life", "Hakuna Matata", and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight". then the book I have specifically for TLK songs has them all with piano and guitar. I'm not quite to the level of the piano on that one, but I can do the guitar for it. "Hakuna Matata" is actually the harder of the pieces, so I'm told.

it mainly depends on how fast the teacher moves you along and what difficulty you can play. my piano teacher moves me along through the books doing several songs at a time until I get them and usually has longer pieces that she works with me on until I have them down. I stayed at about the same level as the book pieces until I finished the book. but it took me 9 years to get to the point where she had me do TLK songs. so, I guess it just depends on what you can do, as I've had 10 years of lessons and am just now doing to the good stuff like pedals

I just joined a Jazz Band and a College Band. I really need to take a day off sometime soon...

yeah, I'd say so. I only have to worry about going to lessons like once a week. bands usually practice pretty often, don't they? I'd especially think a college band would.

At least a rehearsal a day for that kind of band.

No, it's one large rehearsal a week with everybody and one sectional a week so it's not horribly crammed. It's mostly filled with people who just enjoy playing music and are there for the fun of it all, like me! The hard part is how long the practices go for. It's really buildin up my lip.

I'm learning to play bass guitar... If anyone knows anyone with TLK Bass guitar Tablature.. could you like.. point them in my direction.. ? it would be greatly appreciated

I play in a band, I play lead guitar, and lead vocals. We're recording our first album next week.

I've written for Orchestra, Marching band, Voice solo, Chorus, Brass Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra... most of it just for kicks

I read all 3 clefs and their variations (Treble, Soprano, Alto, Tenor, both Baritone clefs, Bass, Sub-Bass). But that's not too hard, as most of them are just the other clefs shifted a bit on the staff.

I sing, play Bassoon, Trumpet, Piano, and Percussion, and I can bat out a tune on almost anything. Except the Flute. Flute is hard
