I didn't see a topic for this legendary pop rock band on the front page, which means I'm allowed to start one. So here you can discuss what is possibly one of my all time favorite bands, as well as anything in relation to any of the 4 members and their also astounding solo careers.

Top 3, in no order:

Meet the Beatles - So many killer tuners: Any Time at All, It Won't Be Long, I Wanna Hold You Hand, Till There Was You, All my Loving, etc. Classic early Beatles sound.
Help - The first Beatles album I listened to, has my favorite Beatles song (I Need You), love the movie, etc etc. Just the perfect power pop.
Rubber Soul - Love the shift in direction on this one. Pretty much the definition of all killer, no filler, and such a range, too. Drive My Car, Norwegian Wood, Think For Yourself, Michelle, In My Life...

What do you think of The Beatles reunion songs, Free as a Bird, and Real Love? To be honest, I didn't care for them at first, but now I absolutely adore then and think they're a great send-off to their career. It was a great way to end off a great partnership, and I don't say this very lightly, I think John would of been proud of what they were doing if he were still alive when they were recorded. Both of those songs really tug at my heart strings, and John's original home recordings are really something to behold, too.

The Beatles have inspired me a lot. Abbey Road was one of the very first records a very young me was introduced to in the 90's. Here are some of my all-time favorites by the band:

Day Tripper
Oh Darling!
Don't Let Me Down
Love Me Do
Help!
Michelle
Here Comes the Sun
Get Back
It Won't Be Long
Strawberry Fields Forever
Let It Be
Eleanor Rigby
Come Together
With A Little Help From My Friends
And I Love Her
All You Need is Love
Something
Please Please Me
All My Loving
Paperback Writer

Free as a Bird and Real Love are thought provoking, and after a couple listens, they grew on me too and was a great send-off like you said.
