MLK Writing Contest #30!
Posted: September 10th, 2014, 8:31 am
I can't believe that we've reached the 30th writing contest! Although, I do have to admit that it really did feel like a long time rather than just like yesterday. However, I do also remember the day when I took over the contest... on the third round. I may not have been the original creator of the contest, but it only ran twice without me! Anyways, here are the prompts for this current contest:
For now, I am still going to give the usual two weeks to write the story. I hope I won't need to extend the deadline, so get started early! Deadline for submissions is: Wednesday, September 24th!
Standard rules: The stories cannot exceed more than 4000 words, but need to be more than 1000. The other rules are the same: keep the stories PG-13, no plagiarizing off others, and don't submit something you already wrote previously for something else. I did bold this certain rule simply because our previous winner nearly broke it. So if you want to dance by the edge of the rules, go ahead, but be careful not to cross the line!
Have fun and write a great story!
Zazu appreciation
Mufasa still dies, but Simba doesn't run away
Zira doesn't slip off the cliff - she lets go
What if Scar was Mufasa's brother-in-law, not his brother?
