Dang, you beat me to it. I was going to make a Doctor Who thread last night but I fell asleep.
I
LOVE Doctor Who. It's a very British take on sci-fi, that's a plus for me since I'm british, but I think it's the little touches that make it so special. Even down to the sound of the TARDIS taking off/landing. I like the way the Doctor is a very private person, you know there's a lot going on in his head and a lot of stuff in his past that we'll never know about. There's so much history to the show, so much background, it feels like some enormous multi-layered thing that I'll never fully understand. He's also very ballsy and eccentric, he often does crazy things for no apparent reason, just because he fancies it. He's just not your typical hero.
My favourite Doctor is David Tennant, the 10th Doctor probably because he was the one I started with. Don't get me wrong, all of the previous doctors brought something to the show but Tennant brought more humour to the role. Also Matt Smith is fine by me. I cannot wait until Christmas where we get to see the new companion!
