I'm really not sure if this was mentioned in a different thread but there's been multiple listing on ebay that have timon and pumbaa lion guard trading cards from d23

I got curious and asked my local Disney Store when they'd be getting Lion Guard stuff in. According to them, they won't get them in until January. And even then, there's a possibility they won't get anything. 
Having said that, I was told they were going to release Gremlins merchandise, but they never did. Hopefully this is just wrong info too (or a cover up, for whatever reason).
They said they don't get merchandise in until the movie airs usually, which doesn't make sense when TLG comes out in November... Of course, Star Wars is profitable enough to come out much sooner, apparently.

Disney has a lot riding on the new star wars film. They spent 4 billion on lucasarts and who knows how much on making the movie itself. After sw1-3 proved to be unpopular with many (but not all) die hard fans they need to make sure
1: it's good
And
2: that people want to see it.
The rest of their sw movies are depending on the goodwill gained from sw7.
I seriously doubt that they spent nearly as much on tlg.
