I prefer Scar name wise because the translation of the name Taka means "waste" in Swahili.
But personality wise I prefer Taka because he seems more "peaceful".

I voted Scar. It`s how he`s known to the vast majority of the TLK fanbase, it is the name used in the movie, and the one I assosciate with him.

Well, Taka and Scar are really the same lion just at different ages. I actually prefer the name "Taka" over "Scar" because Scar sounds like more of a nickname to me than an actual name. Personality-wise, I like Scar better simply because we don't really get a good look at Taka from the films.

I'm going to go with Taka on this. I have sympathy for Taka, being named after a pile of garbage and all, but he gets to be too evil later in life for my tastes.
