So what did happen to those hyenas? They never made an appearance in the second film .

I thought they said something about the hyenas taking off. I guess they got sick of this joint and decided to beat it.

Scar probably choose Kovu cause 1-he was named after him, 2-he had green eyes like him which Nuka didn't, and 3-he was second born like him. I'd venture Scar probably had it out for his first borns after his experiences.

but how can they learn later if they've been engulfed in flames or drowned?

Yep Nuka says, "This place is even creepier now that the hyenas ran off" in regards to the place where they got the fire from.

He is quite the odd ball isn't he? Always got the end of the bad stick to the sticky end.

I think Nuka is a pretty interesting character. Disney didn't show a lot of him cause they wanted the audience focused in Kovu, but if we actually think about how he must have felt about everything that happened until his death... I don't know, if developed, he would have been another great character.

They just didn't have the time to put him in more often during the 81 minutes
