Well, Kiara is alright but quite bland IMO. I hated when she told Simba 'you will never be Mufasa!' that was horrible.

And Timon and Pumbaa are at the bottom of my list too =/ they're not funny. Just annoying. And she wasn't really hating on them, she did just say they were least favorite characters.
I know. I just meant "Why don't you like them?"

Edit: Ok I get it now. Sorry if I hurt your feelings when ganon said DAI.

I'm not a huge fan of Kiara, for the same reason I don't like Simba as a cub. A little too unpredictable for my tastes.

I loved Kiara, she had great character development form a 'me, me, me I'm a special immature cub, and I can do what I want' to 'this needs to be fixed, my people come before me, outsiders are just like our pride'. She showed a lot of courage and really grows into a wonderful character.

Kiara... is a very poorly thought out character. Firstly, her attitude as a cub is exactly that of Simba. But where Simba was actually strong enough to fight for himself and brave enough to defend Nala, Kiara is not brave or strong. I think the most I ever saw her do was save Kovu once as a cub, but lets be honest, those crocodiles were horrible at killing them. At least the hyenas had a drive to kill Simba. And while neither the hyenas nor the crocodiles were going to kill them due to that pretty much ending the movie, we can see a lot more potential in Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed. She then grows up into, everyone say it with me, the steriotypical princess that wants more. I despise this character. She is so overplayed, especially in terms of Disney. Even as a cub she can't help but flirt with Kovu... WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING HIM! OK, at least give the other Disney princesses some credit, they usually got to know the guy before falling head over heels. And something else I've noticed, everyone says she's kind and understanding. OK, why isn't she kind to Kovu after he saves her life until she finds out who he is? And why isn't she understanding when Simba sends Timon and Pumba to watch her and protect her? When she says "You will never be Mufasa," that is the most unkind, misunderstanding thing I've ever heard. Does she even know what Simba went through? She then proceeds to sing a song so contrived and forgettable and instantly say that she and Kovu have to go back... wait, what?! Didn't she just run away from her home? And the last thing that kills it for me, is why did she fight Zira? It wasn't really plot constructive and more or less felt like a waste of a climax. Why couldn't Kovu fight Zira? That would have been so much better. Kovu is the main character of this movie anyways, so why did all his training go to waste? My problem with Kiara is that she learns nothing. And I know exactly what you're thinking, "but she did learn something! she learned that they are one!" OK then, when did she ever express hatred toward the Outsiders. She snarled at Zira once... that's it. If anything, Simba is the one who learned something new, and he wasn't even the main focus of the movie. OK, well now I'm just nitpicking. My point is, Kiara is one of the most bland and uncreative characters I've ever seen in any Disney movie. If you like her, great. She just didn't do anything for me.

^Hmm previous comment was a little harsh toward Kiara!^ I understand that your opinion differs from mine, which is fine! But I just want to say...
We did not get to see as much fights or serious stuff with Kiara as a cub as we did with Simba. With Simba we saw first the hyenas in the graveyard, then the stampede then him running from the hyenas again just after he saw his father get killed. Okay right! :P And all we saw with Kiara is the crocodile scene. And personally I think she did pretty well. She did save Kovu and not just leave him to save herself or anything! And I guess it was such a big deal after she just met Kovu, because she had been shielded for so long she had never got a chance to have that kind of adventure and meet a new lion. It would've been exciting. And maybe she's just a flirt!! It is always interesting to meet a new, nice and pretty good looking guy for the first time. Especially just after you escaped a near death situation
I guess with the other things, everybody has their bad traits so maybe that was just her inner fire showing through. She seems to be the kind of girl that knows what she wants and is very determined. So she probably thought that she didn't need saving from Kovu or to be stalked by Timon and Pumbaa 24 7. And you must admit Simba was quite mean to Kovu. And Kiara just watched her father exile her boyfriend even though he didn't give him a chance to explain what had just happened so of course she would be mad!
And obviously she wanted Kovu to go back. The families had to be made right. I mean wouldn't everybody hate her more if she just took Kovu and ran away with him. All her family was back there. She probably ran away from home to find him again! Not to run away with him and then decide to go back.
She leaped at Zira because Zira went for Simba and Kiara pounced at her to save him.
Oh well I think Kiara is a lovely, exciting and kind lioness . I think she makes a great princess and a wonderful character. Yay!
But that's just my thoughts :kiarabutterfly:

PinkiePie, I entirely agree. 100%.

I wouldn't, woulda been the best thing that could've happened! Leave the option of clearing away the whole movie & starting over again :P

As a matter of fact, I think my personal TLK universe just entirely shifted. They DO leave afterwards (which really isn't a stretch, Kiara spends the movie whining about not wanting to be a princess and Kovu wasn't raised for any kind of constructive existence, he was the one who wanted to run away in the first place and I think after a couple months being smothered by a happy family pressuring him into being a head of state he'd really be having some trauma,) and clean the slate!

I think you've got a good point there ^-^ I may just think about that. Kiara didn't seem like she wanted to be Queen, and I'm not sure whether she would of been a good one.
