But that was the problem... People made completely pointless posts just to get their rank up.

And I don't see how typing and submitting something to a board is that much of an effort.

It's quality, not quantity, that should determine whether you become a "legend" or not. Having 10,000 posts on a tiny internet forum makes you look like a spammer, not a hero.
