Sorry I have to do this, the only reason is because the Fan Art system I'm currently developing uses the name of the album and compares it with the username of whoever is viewing the album to determine if he or she is the album author. I turned it off for security reasons primarily. (If someone changed their name to the artist's name it would essentially be their album). I also changed it because if artists changed their name, they couldn't manage their album anymore.
No one is an "artist" of this new Fan Art system yet, but if you become an artist, several things must be changed in the code of the site so you can continue to manage your album. Which means it will be a lot of work for me. (Maybe I'll just write a script to do it for me
). So if you become an artist and still want a username change you better have a good reason
If you never become an artist and still want a username change you still have to PM me.
