My Poems

My Poems

Postby PrincessKiara » November 5th, 2009, 11:04 pm

Here I will present my TLK-poems, most of them are about Kiara and Kovu, but I have written some about other characters too. :P Enjoy! :innocent:

Kovus Memories (A poem illustrating how the memories of Zira still plagues Kovu in his dreams.)

Her prescense haunts me in my sleep,
I see her eyes and twisted smile.
Upon awakening, I weep.
Taking comfort in the morning sun,
I calmly step outside
To gaze upon the proud Pride Lands
The place where I reside.
Morning, day hold joy for me
But the evenings bring me despair
For I know I will be screaming soon
As Im tortured by my nightly fear.

Kovu’s Grief

Life is good, what can be so bad,

Kovu my love tell me why you are sad.

My mother is evil, she wants me to kill,

And I all I can do is bend to her will.

Does he love me or hate me, I cannot tell.

I try to do good things, and she just yells.

I am no puppet, I am no machine,

I can become more than she’s ever been.

She’s lost in her anger, grief and despair

I cannot do anything to try and save her.

But in your eyes I see love and joy,

And I know you won’t use me as a toy,

So I will stay forever with you,

And live together as one is what we will do.

Kovu’s Bliss

So I cry tears of gratefulness

And smile in pure delight

Because I now live happily

With no dark dreams of fright.

No longer do I feel the pain

That grew inside my soul.

It was put there by my mother

To make me hard and cold.

But Kiara made me realize

That life indeed is good.

My mother never taught me that

But I know that she should.

I am so glad and free

With Kiara as my wife

Gone are pain and misery,

I have started a new life.

And soon within her body

A great treasure will lie.

It is the symbol of our love,

And it will never die.

Silenty the years go by

But our love remains.

Forgotten is my former life

And all its scorn and pains.

Our treasure will keep growing

So healthy, strong and free.

Our love has been immortalized

And will forever be.

Night

It illustrates Kiara’s thoughts when she searches for Kovu at night. (After Simba has exiled him.)

I look at the trees with bleeding branches,

My heart is bleeding too.

My heart knows only one desire,

My darling, that it you.

I seek the stars for awnsers,

But they are silent and cold.

But in them I see your eyes,

So strong and bold.

You are a foreigner in your own land.

Father

Father, why do you worry?

I will not dissapear.

Do you not trust me?

Father, why are you crying?

I try to obey you.

Do you not see me trying?

Do you not see me?

Father, why are you yelling?

You give me no freedom.

Do you not love me?

Here are my other poems:

This is a poem in two parts illustrating cub Scar and cub Sarafinas thoughts and feelings about eahcother.

Taka/Scar

I try so hard but always fail

Mufasa is dads favourite

He doesnt like me, not one bit

Maybe he thinks I am too frail

I feel rejected, unloved and cold

But mother tries to comfort me

Sarafina, you will always be

The one who makes me feel bold

You seem to light up my life

Like a star in the night

Your eyes shine so bright

I sometimes wish you were my wife

And maybe it will all come true

All I dream of, all I hope

Your kindness is what helps me cope

With life, and all that makes me blue

Sarafina

Its like your life is in a chain

Because you always look so sad

It truly hurts me, really bad

To see you suffer so much pain

You suffer so much fear and doubt

Your father would prefer your brother

So you seek comfort in your mother

And me too, I know what its about

I know so well about your pain

I know what lies inside your soul

I hope you will not lose control

When your heart cant take more strain

Dear Taka, lovely friend of mine

I love you, this I really know

So should you get a hurting blow

Come to me, and all will be fine

The Queen This is a poem about Sarabi.

Her face is cut from stone

Her eyes are yellow like the sun

She is the queen, its like she has

Existed since the world begun

Her smile is warm and soft

Her lips form words so kind

She can see into your soul

And know whats in your mind

She is untouched by teeth of time

She has a wisdom that is deep

She is graceful, strong and brave

And whispers his name in her sleep

He was her husband, a father for her child

He was her strong and loving king

But he was victim for great betrayal

A black, filthy pityless thing

He was murdered and her son ran away

She was left with nothing but hate

Deep was her grief, and strong was the pain

Some has to suffer a cruel fate

She never stopped believing, she never gave up hope

She is not fragile, she cannot be broken

He tried to crush her, but he knew he could not touch her

The pain in her heart was left forever unspoken

Her heart turned to stone and her blood froze to ice

Her eyes grew cold and did not longer glow

Her smile turned stiff and then it vanished

No longer did her kindness show

For many years she kept on living

Together with he whom had his brother slain

An endless line of days, months years

All was darkness, anger, fear and pain

So one day her son returned

He was healthy, free and strong

He avenged his father and claimed the throne

The queen felt happy but it did not last long

She felt she was haunted by ghosts of the past

A wilted heart can not be awoken

Her son was alive, but she did not know him

One caress and her heart was broken

This is my own version of the Simon/Garfunkel song Peggy-O.

Nala-O

A lioncub is born at Pride Rock-O

A lioncub is born at Pride Rock-O

A lioncub so sweet,

With a smile the world she greets,

And they called her name pretty Nala-O.

Run over the savanah, pretty Nala-O,

Run over the savanah, pretty Nala-O,

It is such a sunny day,

And with Simba you will play.

He thinks you’re the prettiest girl he has even seen-O

How many tears you cried, pretty Nala-O,

How many tears you cried, pretty Nala-O,

How many tears you cried,

When you thought that Simba died,

And you were so alone, pretty Nala-O.

What will yout mother say, pretty Nala-O,

What will your mother say, pretty Nala-O,

What will your mother say

When she finds you’ve gone away

To places far and strange to find Simba-O?

If ever you return, pretty Nala-O,

If ever you return, pretty Nala-O,

If ever you return,

Pride Rock will surely burn.

Destroying all hyenas in the ar-e-O.

Now everyone is happy, pretty Nala-O,

Now everyone is happy, pretty Nala-O,

Now you’re queen of the pride,

With your true love by your side.

The fairest lioness in the ar-e-O.

The fairest lioness in the ar-e-O

Can You Feel The Love Tonight (About Simba and Nala)

Tell the surface of the water not to listen, and not to make a sound.
Tell the birds to keep silent, a drop of rain to hit the ground.
Tell the plants not to envy our love,
and kiss me gently,
as if with the wings of a dove.
Do not tell my heart to stop beating, for it is filled with bliss.
Do not tell me to close my eyes, just give me a kiss.

Wonderful poems you have written PrincessKiara. :) I love poetry and I know it takes a lot of skill to write a deep and meaningful poem. That just proves how awesome you truly are though my friend. ^^ I think my favorite was the one about Sarabi. :) I think it truly captured the essence of her life as a whole and seemed very well thought out. :) Very lovely work my friend and I look forward to reading more of your amazing poems as you post them. :) Keep up the brilliant work! ^^
