When the film originally came out I thought they where brilliant. Almost going as far as my favourite characters apart from the fact that i was young back then and as they where the bad guys that wasn't right, I couldn't possibly actually like them.
Had a long gap and came back after watching the film with a friend as he had never seen it. (Can you believe that!) Glad I did as I discovered TLG and more but..

Now I am an adult i appreciate so much more about characters and can say I still like them and being the bad guys only makes that better for me now.

I like them. I laugh at "Cactus Butt" name they called Banzai when i fell into the thorn grounds in the first lion king movie! Know what part i mean? Ed's amusing too. And Shenzi is amusing too. Had a stuffed-type of plush of them years ago when i was a kid. I basically like them as characters in the movie.

Yes, I like them. They're good comic reliefs as well as villains and also perfect for the actors playing them.

It would be good but I doubt that would happen.

I think they are great characters, the three of them serve as a great comic relief (thanks to the great voice actors). And in the end they are betrayed by Scar but get their chance to take revenge of him. I think they are undoubtedly the best Disney villain sidekicks ever.

If you liked them in the movie, just wait to see them in the Broadway show, they are absolutely hilarious.

yes, they are valuable characters to the movie, I like how they are designed and their voices are on fleek. I like their personalities and the typical villains they are, fitting into the 90's decade where disney villains were mostly just evil with not a very deep background. I also like that they are smarter than villains these days, who are more clownish and made "stupid" instead of cunning and intelligent.
that last sentence wasn't about Ed. Ed is stupid in a creepy way, and also funny.
missing the old deviantart...
A simple question I really should have asked ages ago.
I think that I am a bit peeved at how dumb they made Shenzi. She technically has about the same rank within the hyena cackle as Mufasa did in the pride. The fact that she was portrayed as rather idiotic and able to be bested so easily by Mufasa was kind of insulting.

Banzai seems fine enough. I wonder if he's Shenzi's mate.

Ed, I kind of wish he could get redemption. (He's honest, we'll give him that, as he even says that he was trying to kill Simba when Mufasa asks, a very dangerous time to tell the truth.) He seems more dorky than evil.
