I like Simba in SP too. He's not perfect like Mufasa - he makes a lot of mistakes. And there's a stroke of genius in that.

Mufasa wasn't perfect, he was much too trusting of his brother.

Very true. I probably should have said "as close to perfect as possible." Point is, Mufasa is presented as this wise, great king, and Simba is presented as far more flawed, which is a great contrast.

Assuming we're only factoring the first movie into this, I'm gonna go with adult Simba, since cub Simba was kind of a brat.

If we are talking the first film, then definely adult Simba. Though I thought his cub design was cute, he did annoy me a little as a cub.

Adult Simba is a far more complex character, but that's to be expected. I prefer him because he is so flawed, and thus, a lot more interesting! Cub Simba's really just a catalyst for things. A cute catalyst. :simba:

More complex ya, but also a fair bit more boring.

I like lil simbas brash, adventurous, mischievous attitude. Adult simbas idea of fun is probably doing tax returns if lions had to do their taxes.

Well, what do you really expect? Not sure if I'd be too mischievous and adventurous after believing I killed my own father for most of my life. I think his character development is reasonable! 'Boring' makes more sense to me.

Doesn't mean I have to like him more or think he's interesting.
