She's pretty sexy for a Disney character, but that's fine by me!

Shenzi is a character who is very important to me. While Banzai and Ed are more the kind of loveable mooks I enjoy watching goof off, Shenzi is far more interesting. She comes across as menacing, yet she's not exactly frightening. She's humored in the way that her "siblings" are, but she's no idiot. She takes on a commanding role, but doesn't just dismiss her two closest companions. She knows how to keep a level head, but can get feisty when pushed too far.

LK's hyenas are both it's funniest and most deadly characters, which alone makes me wonder why they are just mooks. But when you've got a villain like Shenzi---portrayed by Whoopi freakin' Goldberg---makes me just blink at how crazy the producers must have been not to turn HER into the main villain.
