My Lion King Forum

As part of their Dream Big, Princess marathon, Disney is re-releasing several of their animated classics back into large-format movie theaters starting with The Lion King being re-released for one week in select AMC Theatres. You can read more here.

Although I have seen The Lion King countless times, I never have seen the film in a movie theater and wasn't able to see in 3D back in 2011. So, I may actually go see at my local theater this week. How about you?

But i'm not too upset. I recently got to hear Lebo M sing the circle of life live. How many fans of this franchise can say that?

I already pre ordered mine and Im see Hanz Zimmer as well,

Just a warning

He started playing so quickly! If they allow video recording like when I saw it, I only got 90 percent of the lion king stuff. I'd say that the tlk section of the concert was closest to the movie. A lot of it was like a rock concert but with movie music, it got really loud.

But the tlk section was really movie accurate. At least from what i remember. Lebo M's daughter was performing at mine!

Looks like it might be playing in my area...can't even remember when I had seen it in its first re released. And ironically I saw an add for the Hanz Zimmer tour when I saw spiderman in an AMC lol

Saw it today with my mom! We were the only ones in the theater so we sang and talked about it much as we wanted haha.
