Posted: January 4th, 2018, 12:11 pmOn page 50. So far the book has gone over the history of the production of the movie and live musical. Lots of fascinating tidbits. Quite a few photographs and illustrations!
I had heard of this but not in such detail before. Originally Julie Taymer wanted a completely different second half where simba went to a vegas like place and it sounded awful. Thankfully that idea was scrapped early on.
Also the lion king had a few other names before ‘king of the jungle’ and how that name was scrapped. I never realized just how many revisions this film went through with many aspects of it.
