Suddenly the weather started to change and first drops of rain started to fall. "We must get to rock as fast as we can," commanded Mosi. "No time to lose."

Abasi nodded. Adla waddled after the males, anxiously followed by Winda, Adia and Hasima. After a few minutes of the rain advancing, and the lions and lionesses getting closer, they finally reached the shelter.

"So, this is where we are staying?" asked Hasima looking at the huge rock. "Seems good to me." Mosi nodded, but Winda's doubting nature was shown this time. "I'm not sure. It doesn't seem to me like this beautiful place can be uninhabited. We must check it out. Carefully," she said.

'Your right', Abasi said. 'See those trees over there-' he pointed about 50 yards away-'Take Adla there. Mosi and I will look around. You'll know if there's any trouble'. He nodded to mosi.

"Why should I take her there?" asked Winda, even a little rudely. Mosi nodded back. "Fine. Let's go."

Abasi growled ever so slightly. He hated impertinence. But he replied calmly, 'Because she is due any day now. I'd rather have the cub born in some shelter, as apposed to our here. Plus, we don't know how long we're going to be'. He nodded to mosi, and they set off. The girls made their way to the trees.

"I'm sorry for her," said Hasima with apologizing smile. "Girls, we must help Adla, right now. Yes, you too, Winda," she said looking her friend reproachfully. They all went to the trees. "I just hope those are safe enough for her," added Hasima anxiously."

"Very well", said Mosi to Abasi. "Who goes first?"

Adla rose to her feet unsteadily, and wobbled anoint until her sister came running forwards an supported her. They struggled to the trees, but eventually got there. Adla sighed deeply, and sunk, somewhat elegantly, to the floor.

Abasi looked at Mosi. 'Let go side by side.' He was rewarded with a nod. They cautiously examine the rock, and started to creep closer.
