After Buffy jumped in teh water and went out, Ashur got in and then started to swim. Soon he started to bother other animals, and he was getting a little cold so he got out, shook the water out and then went to take a seat next to Buffy in the sun. Ashur wondered a lot. What would my dad and mom be doing if they were still here? Ashur then stopped thinking about his parents. It was painful. Ashur didn't want any painful memories right now when he was having a fantastic day with his best friend Buffy.

Buffy enjoyed her new, great friend Ashur. They lay there in the sun for quite a while till they hear a grrr "What was that?" Buffy reacted immediatly. Again, the grrr sound appeared. Buffy felt a movement in her stomach, and then she felt an urge to eat. "I need food. Lets go hunting, Ashur!" Buffy told her friend. She got up from the heated rock, which had been draining water from her. She stretched and got off the rock for a drink. "Take a drink, Ashur. We'll be needing water for a run in this heat." Buffy licked the water, gathering bit after bit of water and letting it run through her throat and down to her stomach. She truly loved water.

Ashur got up and slurped the water. Ashur enjoyed water! Especially on a hot day like this! He took another drink and then stood up. What'cha waitin for Buffy? Let's go catch us some antelope! I know where the best ones are! Ashur ran as fast as he could to the top of the gourge.

[Buffy]

Buffy giggled at Ashur, but followed. She ran and ran. The lovely breeze was just what she needed. She caught up with Ashur and took a look. "So where are these antilopes?" Buffy could see a bunch of animals. Everything from zebras, to meerkats, to monkeys, to wildebeast. There were so many animals that she couldn't notice the antilopes.

Ashur leaped and signaled Buffy. Over here, Buffy! Behind the elephants! Try not to attack the elephants, you know what they say! "Elephants never forget!" Ashur giggled at his joke. Soon he saw the fattest anteplope there was. Ashur bent down lowly in the grass. See that one Buffy? That's the one we're going to feast on! Ashur crouched down even lower and began to walk toward the antelope slowly.

[Buffy]

Buffy took a look and saw it. It was a nice size for two lions looking for a nice meal. She got down and hid in the tall grass. Ashur started crawling first, and Buffy did the same. She stayed a distance away from him so if the antelope heard them, they would be in two different places, and the antelope might not know where they are. Buffy had gotten close enough, she waited for Ashur's signal before even thinking of attacking.

Ashur gave Buffy the signal! And..SWOOSH! Buffy and Ashur jumped on the antelope's back and sunk their sharp teeth into his back. Ashur closed his eyes. It tasted soo good! Ashur swiped his paw at his lunch and made it go blind. Then he bit it's ear and made it fall down. THUMP!

[Buffy]

The antilope was now weakened and dying, but not dead quite yet. Buffy went for it's neck and ripped it apart. Before anyone knew it, the antilope's heart had stopped beating. Buffy dug into the antilope very quickly, she had been hungry for a while. "Mmm... This tastes like heaven."

Ashur smiled at Buffy! For Ashur was glad hat Buffy finished off the antelope. Ashur took a big chunk of antelope and ate it. Delicous! Yummy! This is the best antelope I've ever had! Don't you think so, Buffy? Ashur smiled again wih blood stains around his chops.

Buffy was still chewing when Ashur asked her. So she took a moment to swallow before answering. "Yes, this antilope is very satisfying." She replied. Buffy leaned down to take another bite, but got distracted by some hyenas who had picked up the dead antilopes scent. They knew better than to go and steal a lion's meal, but they were still bothering Buffy. She gave a snarl, telling the hyenas to back away, and went for another bite.
