(Private) NM and Zeke's RP!

"Sure. Would you allow me to follow?" Taro asked Zeke.

At the same time Taro asked a question, Mila just nodded towards Zeke and began to walk away from the scene.

[Zeke]

"Sure," Zeke said with a grin on his face, "Lets go." Zeke padded off behind Mila and slowly began to pick up his pace. The further they ran, the greener the savanna got. Trees began to sprout here and there and there was a constant blanket of grass over the plain. Hoof prints could be seen scattered along the ground and herds of animals could be heard along the horizon. Zeke began to slow down to catch his breath for a little bit and turned to face Mila. "So what do you think of this place?" He asked.

"Not as great as the pridelands, but much better than the outlands. It would be a decent place to live." Mila replied. She really had nothing to say more than that, so waited for something else to happen.

Taro just watched the two converse, and tried to follow what they were there for, besides some food. After a while he spoke. "You guys need a steady source of food? Cause this sure would be the place for it." He looked around, and his observations led him to the conclusion that wildlife was in much abundance here.

[Zeke]

"Nah, we don't need food," Zeke said in a sarcastic voice. "I'm just wondering if this would be a nice place to relocate for the whole pride. Its far enough away from the Pridelands that there will be no conflict with the other pride, and it seems as though there is a sufficient amount of food." Zeke scanned across the wide plain, looking for some kind of landmark. "The only thing is is that we need to find shelter from the weather. Do you see any Mila?"

Mila, in fact, did see a place that might contain shelter. She squinted, attempting to see into the distance. She saw what looked like a potential cave, so she pointed it out to Zeke. "Maybe... that?" She said, pointing to it.

[Zeke]

"Great eyes, Mila. Lets go," Zeke said joyfully as he started away at a light jog. The fresh air felt great flowing through his lungs in comparison to the dry, dirt-filled air of the Outlands. Im starting to like it here already, he thought as he pranced through the tall brush towards the rocks. As he approached their destination, he saw that there was not only a cave, but a series of caves behind one main outcropping. "Wow, this place is perfect. Isn't it great, Mila?" He asked, filled with excitement at their new find.

Mila smiled at Zeke's sudden burst of joy and excitement, it made her giggle a bit. She looked back up at Zeke and replied. "It is! We should show Kiana and Hokori!" Mila exclaimed, now joyful because there was actually some hope, and simply that her mate was happy as well.

Taro just followed along, and watched the two talk to each other. He questioned whether they were friends or something bigger along the way. The happiness that they shared when they reached the cave was heart-warming, and Taro could not help but crack a little smile when the two suddenly had outbursts of excitement. He looked down and the ground and said nothing.

[Zeke]

"Wait, lets take a look around first. These caves might still be inhabited," Zeke warned as he neared closer to the main cave, "It wouldn't be good if we had another encounter in this condition." Zeke sniffed around, trying to catch the scent of something, but due to his poor sense of smell, he proceeded to enter the main cave. He looked back to see that niether Mila or Taro entered the cave behind him. Is there something wrong? He wondered as he continued to advance

Mila watched Zeke creep into the caves. She stood there and watched as he tried to stealthily move through the cave opening. It was a bit humorous to see her mate act like that, so she decided to watch the show.

Taro, however, had noticed something behind them. He knew it wasn't anything that was going to be friendly. He just seemed to posses a sixth sense that could detect oncoming danger. He tried to ignore this, but knew it would be a bad idea. When Zeke moved inside the cave, he knew that Mila would be unprotected. It wasn't Zeke's fault, as he had no idea. Taro watched Mila closely and listened behind him for any sudden movements. He desperately wanted to catch whatever was there, but if his sense was wrong, the two he was currently traveling with might think poorly of the lion. And that was the last thing he needed.

[Zeke]

He took a last glance at Mila's look of amusement and moved on. His claws scraped against the stone floor and clicked against the various bones scattered along the floor, but he kept his head up and eyes keen for any sort of movement. The system of tunnels were immense and he went deeper and deeper. As he entered the main chamber, a wave of an overwhelming and familiar scent hit him like a train; it was the scent of death, of rotting flesh.
