The Lion King Growing Up

*They arrive at Priderock*
Simba: Psst! Hey 'Dofo! You ok now?
Nala: Hi Adofo.
Adofo: Hey guys! Yup. I feel much better now.
Nala: Good. *yawn*
Simba: Ugh. I'm tired.
Adofo: Same.
Nala: Goodnight, guys.
Simba: 'Night, Nala.
Adofo: Goodnight.....*yawn*

[Adofo]

Simba: Hey Dofo, I'm sorry for that guy. He's just a jerk!
Adofo: Yeah. Hey Simba?
Simba: Yeah?
Adofo: Am I a good brother?
Simba: No.....you're the best brother!
Adofo: *smiles* Thanks!
*Adofo scoots closer to Simba and drapes his arm around him.*
Simba: Love you Dofo!
Adofo: Love you too Simba!

*At the break of dawn...*
Simba: *opens eyes and yawns* Hey! What the?
Adofo: *wakes up and follows his gaze* Is that? No. Wait.
Nala: *looks up* Yeah. It is.
Mosi: Hey guys! Hey...uh...you...
Simba: Whatta you doing here!?
Mosi: Thought i'd pay a little visit.
Simba: You know you aren't welcome here in the Pridelans.
Mosi: Pfft! Says who?
Nala: We do! After what you said to Adofo, I con't believe you came back! Why?

[Adofo]

Sarabi: Boys, who's this?
Nala: This is the guy that talked bad about Adofo yesterday!
Mufasa: So, you're the one that made fun of our son!?
Sarabi: Why are you here!?
Mosi: Listen I.....I feel bad for what I said. I don't know what it's like to be different. To feel alone. If you'll let me.....I'd like to make a fresh start!
Sarabi: ........Adofo?
Adofo: ......yeah. I wouldn't mind a fresh start!
Mosi: okay! My name's Mosi, prince of the Vastlands!
Adofo: I'm Adofo. This is my little brother Simba and our parents, King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi!

Mosi: Cool! So your like, a price like, me?
Adofo: Yeah...I guess?
Mosi: Sweet! So um...do you guys wanna go and play?
Simba: Alright!
Nala: Ok!
*The cubs and the young human set off to play*

[Adofo]

*After a long hard day of playing the 4 came back to Priderock.*
Mosi: That was fun! Lets do it again sometime!
Nala: Yeah!
Mosi: Well see you guys! I gotta get back home!
*Mosi runs off back to his own home and the 3 kids get inside the cave and crash from being so worn out*
*The next morning Adofo and Nala wake up and see Simba is gone.*
Adofo: Mom, whered Simba go?
Sarabi: Your Uncle Scar took him around the Pridelands. I'm sure they'll be back soon!
(No they won't. Or at least, not Simba )

*At the gorge....*
Scar: Now you wait here. Your father has a marvellous surprise for you!
Simba: What is it?
Scar: Now if I told you that it wouldn't be a surprise, now would it?
Simba: I'll still act surprised!
Scar: Ooh! You are such a naughty boy!
Simba: Aww c'mon Uncle Scar...
Scar: No no no no this is just between you and your daddy.....y'know...a sorta father-son....thing... Well! I better go and get him!
Simba: I'll come with yo-
Scar: No! Heh...no. Just stay here by this rock... You wouldn't want to end up in another mess like you did with the hyenas.
Simba: You know about that?
Scar: Simba, everybody know about that.
Simba: Really?
Scar: Oh yes. *smirks* Lucky daddy was there to save you eh? *starts to walk off*
Simba: Hey Uncle Scar, will I like the surprise?
Scar: Simba, it's to DIE for!

[Adofo]

*a few hours later Scar returns without Mufasa and Simba*
Adofo: Uncle Scar, where's Dad and Simba?
Scar: I'm sorry......
*Scar gets up onto some rocks to make an announcement*
Scar: Everyone.....I have some terrible news. The great king Mufasa and prince Simba......my brother and nephew......are dead......
Sarabi: No.....
Adofo: *cries* Dad.......Simba.........
*Adofo turns towards his mother and cries into her chest.*
Scar: Mufasa's death was a terrible tragedy; but to lose Simba, who had barely begun to live. ....For me it is a deep personal loss. So it is with a heavy heart that I assume the throne. Yet, out of the ashes of this tragedy, we shall rise to greet the dawning of a new era... *The hyenas start emerging, casting eerie green shadows and laughing hollowly* ...in which lion and hyena come together, in a great and glorious future!
*After a few days with Scar as king, he becomes more and more ruthless. All lionesses, even cubs, have to go out and hunt, or they will be punished. A very young Nala just came back from her latest hunt, being the last one back. She has brought nothing back with her.*
Scar: What's this? No food?
Sarafina: Scar, she's just a cub! Please give her another chance!
Scar: If I go easy on her now, how can the rest of you take my laws seriously?! She must take her punishment. I'd say three minutes of punishment.
*The rest of the pride looks on in horror as the little cub is being surrounded by hyenas and about to bite and claw at her. They start her punishment. She is in immediate pain and starts screaming and crying*
Sarafina: Nala...
Sarabi: This isn't right!
*Adofo looks on at his best friend in horror and takes a deep breath before jumping in and forming a ball around Nala. For a second the hyenas keep going until Scar makes them stop*
Scar: What's the meaning of this?!
Adofo: I can't let you do this!
Scar: You dare question the king!? THERE MUST BE PUNISHMENT!!! FOR ANYONE WHO STEPS OUT OF LINE OR DOES NOT FULFILL THEIR DUTY!!!!
Adofo: ..........Then I'll take it! .......I'll take all of it! And not just for Nala! For anyone in the pride! When someone has to disciplined.........Take it out on me.
Sarabi: Adofo.........don't!
Scar: Hmmmm....you would take all of the punishment for the whole pride? No matter how severe?
Adofo: .....yes!
Scar: .....So be it!

*The hyenas begin to attack Adofo*
Adofo: Ah! Ahhh!
Sarabi: Adofo! *claws hyenas*
Scar: Sarabi! Move! You heard him. Let him stick to is word.
Sarabi: *whimpers* Adofo...
*Later that night....*
Rafiki: There there, now. *cleans Adofo's wounds*
Adofo: Thank you, Rafiki.
Rafiki: *smiles*
*The other side of the cave....*
Nala: Mum (Mom).
Sarafina: Yes, sweetheart.
Nala: Scar kept looking at you. It was really odd. I don't understand.
Sarafina: Scar.....he's just....well...
Nala: ?
Sarabi: 'Fina, Scar requests your company. He wants a word with you.
Sarafina: Oh....about what?
Sarabi: I'm afraid I do not know.
Sarafina: Well, i'd better go...

(Don't worry, nothing bad will happen...yet.)

[Adofo]

Sarabi: You okay Adofo?
Adofo: I'm.....I'm okay.
Sarabi: I wish you hadn't made that promise.
Adofo: I know.....but......I have to protect everyone!
Sarabi: That was very kind and brave what you did! ......Your father would be proud of you!
Adofo: Mom.....I miss Dad and Simba! *cries*
Sarabi: I know baby.....*cries*....I do too!
*Sarabi holds Adofo in her arms.*
Sarafina: Scar....you wanted to see me?
