The Pride Lands (Amanda, Moka, kovu42)

[Panda-chan]

After the king left, Uzuri felt strangely relieved. She'd never told off her father like that. But he had deserved it, hadn't he?
She laid her head down on her paws and closed her eyes. The sun was very warm and the air was breezy; this was the perfect weather for a nap. After thinking worriedly about the day's events, Uzuri finally fell asleep.

[Moka]

The baboon wheeled around and came back to Bakari. "Oh I was hoping you'd ask!!" he expressed himself. He broke a strange colored bud over Bakari's nose. Bakari breathed and fell into a healthy sleep. "Auni's new sleep medicine works wonders." he said, and finally left the scene.

[Panda-chan]

King Mbwana walked to the Old Tree Stump with a little less pride than usual. There were two lionesses sitting outside the entrance when he reached there. They seemed to have been waiting for him.
The taller of the two came forward and bowed. "Sire," she said "A few scraps of meat have been stolen, but other than that, nothing else has been taken. We must have scared them off before they could take anything bigger."
"Hmmm..." The King thought a moment, "Where's Queen Busara?"
"She's gone with a pack of lionesses to look for more food, Sire." The same lioness said.
"What about the rest of the den? Have they broken into anything else?" He was thinking about the nursery, where the infant lions where kept.
"No Sire. The den was well-concealed. None of them broke into anything." This time the second lioness answered him. By the look on her face, she had been thinking the same thing.

[Moka]

Khali sat near the den entrance licking a small wound on his shoulder. The sun was fading away on the horizon once again. He was surprised that the day was over already. He shrugged, stupidly. The wound in his shoulder prickled with pain. Guess the time passes quickly in these parts of the world, he thought. He was referring to his original pride, a peaceful and small pride that kept to themselves on the border of the region.
