"What about my Mum???" Kion just cuddle her, closing one eye.

The sleeping lipard cub just mumbled something unintelligible.

"What?" Kion put his ear closer to her mouth, thinking that it is something more.

The sleeping cub pushed his head away gently, saying no more even in her sleep. "Zzzzz…."

"....." Kion simply nodded, hugging her but his thoughts kept him awake..

The cub whimpered in her sleep, tossing and turning as she dreamt.

"..." Kion just put his head on her neck, trying not to disturb her but he felt like sleeping every passing second.

Somewhere in the mountains, a large lion was surveying the area over pride rock. He was well built, scars on his left cheek and nodded his head as a lioness was playing with his cubs. Otieno had just managed to fool both Mheetu and some lion's name he couldn't remember, by sending a decoy force.

"Pride Rock seem like a fun place."

"Daddy? Will this be our new home?"

"Maybe."

Otieno waited for the messenger from the shadow council. He promised them land and other things if they serve him. Meanwhile, he would play with his youngest daughter, Sara.

"You are not her mother." Simba growled. "And on the other hand, as I told you, I will not tolerate her presence so long." He said and looked down at the ground pondering. After a short pause, he continued. "We should ask an other pride if they can adopt her. Because I will not." Simba finished then yawned. "Okay, I think we should go to sleep now. Shall we?"

"Yes, we should go back to sleep and the tommorrow we'll chase her off. But Simba, what if she returns with a vengence against us?!"

Nala took one sad last look at Mlezi before hanging her head. Maybe Simba was right, but her motherly instincts told her a different story. Maybe she had a connection to her, but her own daughter and family is far more important than Scar's cub. And besides, Simba was right most of the the time. Most. Still, she just follow her mate.

"Okay, let's do this... your way."

"You should have killed her already, Simba. Then we would have one less annoying lion to worry about." Tama gave a yawn before heading another path with her daughter, "I'm going back to my old den. See you on the 'morrow."

The lion started off and walked into the den but looked back at Nala.
"We cannot let blackmail to influence us and our decisions." Honestly, he didn't understand Nala's act or better said, he didn't understand why Nala acted like Mlezi's mother. She knew exactly what had been happening during Scar's reign. She had been here and seen it. Then how could she accept this cub so easily?
"No, Tama. I am not a murderer." He answered when he was in the cave. "Alright, good night."
Simba lay down on the ground putting his paws under his head.
"Good night, Nala." He closed his eyes and soon fell asleep.
