Hiiii guyyyss! So I wrote this for KKV4's poetry contest buuut not a ton of people got around to checking that out, so I felt like posting it here. I enjoyed writing it a lot, and I'm very happy with the way it turned out. Check it out~

Fire;

You're a demon, you are
a devious master of design
of a jet black desire
dressed in viridian.

You're a blemish, you are
something spiny and unwanted
built on the backs of the brave
and the jaws of the cowardly.

You're a lily, you are
wilting upon a desert rock
desperate for pride in something stolen
or something broken.

You're a murderer, you are
a brother to Abel
who's heard the thousand
footsteps echo like thunder.

You're a demon, you are
You've tasted iron
yet your castles of paper
were built to burn.

Shouldn't be too hard to figure out who it's about. I tried to a pack in some layers and double meanings, so let me know which ones you spot. ;3

Hah you know I did actually skim read the entries, and I had a sneaking suspicion this was yours... Given that, it was correctly punctuated. Stellar work, man. And as for dissecting some of the meanings, well the only that one that immediately jumped out to me was the bible reference "Able" was a Shepard and led the flocks of sheep, its tied to Mufasa (his brother) leading the pride.

Thank you! Glad you saw it. Yup, "A brother to Abel" is a reference to Cain and Abel being shepherds (leading the pride). It also references to how Cain actually kills Abel out of jealousy, mirroring the way Scar killed Mufasa. ;3
