What would happen if that Wolf-dog never wanted to be a sled dog? But instead he wanted to go back to answer his instincts...his call to the Wild.

Plot: A pack of wolves have made a home in the mountain pass that connects the Alaskain town to its supplier. While traveling through sled dogs and their masters have been getting attacked by these hungry wolves. So Balto is going to investigate hopefully to stop the pack before the humans decide to make their own choice to do it themselves.

The sun slowly began to rise on the small Alaskan town, its inhabitants slowly started their daily duties. The harsher snows were beginning to approach and the mayor ordered a sled dog team to escort a bunch of cattle back through the mountain pass. Plus the sled dogs were carrying their normal supplies of medicines and extras the townspeople ordered. That was mainly how they transported cargo; by sleds lead by dogs.

But something was wrong and the towns people seemed to be up in arms, what was going on?


Jenna slowly walked on the leash next to her master, her brown eyes looked up at him and she smiled. They walked quietly towards the Cargo barn until a man named Ben walked up to them complaining. Jenna listened in;

"John...those damn wolves caught up with me and my dogs in the mountain pass. They killed most of the cattle. We could barely protect ourselves...they never get that close!" Ben spoke as they kept walking.

John looked to Ben, "I don't remember any packs making a home in the mountain pass...lets go talk to the others." he said opening the door for Ben to walk through. John bent down on his knees and unhooked Jenna's leash, "Go on girl...stay out of trouble though. I'll be awhile...those damn wolves are going to sign their death certificate if they keep messing with our supplies." he muttered and disappeared into the building.

A frantic look was plastered on Jenna's muzzle and she ran around back to the stalls to see if any of the dogs were back there. "Rocky...Rocky...is it true?" she said in a soft tone. Her brown eyes looked up at the big black husky as he turned to face her.


Rocky lifted his muzzle from his water bowl and smiled as Jenna appraoched, "Hey doll face. What about the wolves? Yeah, I killed at least one of those damn scavengers." he said in a stern tone. "Why?"

"Well..because Balto was looking...." she was interrupted.

"That wolf-dog...I don't even know why you bother with him." Rocky said giving a snort out his nostrils. Reclining back to his haunches Rocky lifted his leg to scratch at his spiky black collar, "Well it seems the wolves are living there now, in the mountain pass. My master said hes going to get a gun and get rid of them if they don't keep moving."

"What thats not fair! They aren't like us Rocky...they're wild." Jenna said softly in protest.

"Rocky...breakfast!" the voice called from a few houses over.

"Looks like its time to eat! Got to go Doll face...you take care!" Rocky said before he disappeared between the houses.

Jenna frowned as Rocky left her there and she heard the humans inside the building yelling at each other, "I better tell Balto...someone needs to help them." she muttered to herself as she padded down the snowy alleyway. As she approached Balto's shack she slowed to a halt and shook the leftover snow from her chocolate and white pelt.

She moved a piece of old wood with her nose and squeezed through the small opening with a 'omphhh'. She shook the wood loose from her pelt and eyed the empty living room, "Balto...Balto.." Jenna called into the creepy old house.
