Storyline: A special Pony/Zebra guard names Hermes (OC) has a crush on the beautiful Princess Luna. He tries to win her heart, but fails many times. He seeks the help of the local ponies, and they give him advice, and help him through out his quest.

First post:

"Oh, why does that immature zebra keep bugging me with those flowers?" Princess Luna paced her room, complaining to Princess Celestia. "That's all he ever does! It's getting on my nerves! Since when is a pony guard so determined to give a Princess a bunch of flowers every day?" She hopped up onto her bed. "I don't understand it."

There was a knock on her door. Twilight Sparkle came trotting to it, and opened it. "Hi there!" Rainbow Dash was right in her face. Twilight fell backwards. "Oh, hi Rainbow Dash!" she got up and smiled. "How are you?" "I'm fine! I asked you if you wanted to go see the Princess! She invited us!" "Would I? Oh my, yes, I would!" Twilight was now jumping. "We should go get Applejack! And you can stop to go and get Rarity." Rainbow Dash nodded, then flew to Rarity's house.

Princess Celestia open'd a eye lid, she had been napping once her sister started to rant, "What dear?" She asked. She walked over to her complaining sister. She hadn't changed much, the good thing was she lost most of her anger now. Now she was just a normal...annoying little sister.

Celestia smiled at the flowers, "Calm yourself sister. You have a handsom young pony who likes you." She explained it simply.

Luna looked at her big sister. "But I still don't get it. It really gets annoying sometimes.. He keeps bugging me and trying to impress me. Can't he take a hint and know that he's being annoying?"

Rainbow Dash arrived and knocked on Rarity's door. "Why, hello there Rainbow Dash! What brings you this fine morning?" "We've been invited to go see the Princess! Would you like to come? Twilight's getting AppleJack, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. She told me to come get you." "Oh my, yes of course I would! Lead the way." Rarity stated as she trotted out of her home.

Twilight Sparkle came trotting up near Applejack's barn, where there was a large basket of apples that hadn't been brought in. She knocked on the top door, waiting for a response.

Celestia gave a small smile, "Maybe you should tell him privately to...tone it down?" She suggested softly.

Applejack poked her head to her window, "Well howdy yall. " She greeted. She looked towards her "living room" Where her guest was at, Hermes. "What brings ya'll here?" She asked. She open'd the door for Twilight to come in.

Luna nodded, "Yeah, you're right. Maybe when he comes back to the castle I'll tell him. Where in the world is he anyway?"

Twilight smiled as she saw Applejacks exuberant face. "Rainbow Dash told me we've been invited to see the Princess this morning! I wonder if we'll be able to see Princess Luna too! Oh, and, who's your friend over here?" Twilight looked behind her and spotted the guard eating an apple.

"I thought he was training for the event...y'know, where all the Royal pony Guards take place in Pony games and at the end of the games you'll chose the best one to be your personal guard." Celestia said, smiling. It'd be funny if Hermes was the best....his cutie mark was speed after all.

"Ohh! Twilight, tone down on the princess talk, alright? " Applejack whispered. "This is a good friend of Zecora's, Hermes. He's sad so he came over here to talk to me."

"Oh yeah, that's right! When do the games start? I'd like to watch them." Luna asked her big sister.

"Oh, really? Sorry, then. What's wrong?" Twilight apologized quietly, walking slowly into the barn.

Rarity and Rainbow Dash eventually caught up, "Hi guys! We're ready to go see the princess, Apple Jack, you comin'?" Rarity peeked into the barn. "Oh look, you have a guest! I would love to meet him." Rarity said, sounding excited.

"Tonight, " Celestia replied. "I invited TwilightSparkle and her friends." She added.

"Go right ahead Rarity, just don't talk 'bout the princess, okay?" Applejack said as she walked to the barn with twilight. Applejack looked at Dash, "Sure am. "

"Oh hermes just has this filly crush on Luna, and Luna don't like it abit." Applejack explained.

Luna smiled, "My favorite time for contests. I can't wait to see Twilight once again, she was so friendly when I met her. Oh, and, what exactly is the contest for? What do the Pony guards exactly learn from this?" Luna asked her sister once again.

Rarity nodded. "Ah, I see. Well, there are these pony games tonight, were the two of the princess each choose their own personal ponygaurd from the contestants. We should try to help him win it." Rarity whispered to AppleJack. "He probably has a good chance at it."

Celestia pursed her lips, "I don't think they learn anything from it honey. Its a friendly competition. Hmm, maybe sports-ponyship? " Celestia thought about this. "Well I want you to have a personal guard, so the pony guards will be competitng for the top 3 positions, " Celestia explained. "And then you will pick the one that did the best, to be your guard."

Applejack thought about this, "Whatcha think, Twilight, 'Dash?"
