Damu thought about it for a long moment. "Wouldn't your parents kill me for being an Outlander?" he asked.

"Depends on how you respect them." Mauti said."My brother is still a cub, so my mom will be more protective."

Damu agreed. "It's probably best if you don't mention my heritage until they're used to me. Nothing about the Outlands, understand?" he said.

"I'll lie you're a loner."Mauti said. Turning, she waited for him.

Damu chuckled proudly. "Good one. Hopefully, they'll accept me," he said.

"Okay." She said, and to her surprise, she purred.

Before long, they were crossing the borders into the Pridelands. Pride Rock could be seen on the horizon. "Well, we're getting there," Damu said.

There was a roar. "Dad saw us.." Mauti said. A moment later, King Bubu was standing in front of him. "Who have you brought, my daughter?" He growled. "Dad, he's just a loner! I swear! He was a bit in the-" "He's an Outlander! You're lying!" "No, Dad, I'm not!!! Just let him stay!! He's nice for being a prince grown bitter!" "He's an OUTLANDER!" A little white lion cub appeared a minute later. "Dad. Seriously. Look at this thing. He's a loner." "Fine, judgement for a few weeks." And the king disappeared. Thelugi [the cub, her brother, based off my dog] winked at Mauti. "Thelugi, that's one of the last times you save me." Mauti growled when King Bubu was out of earshot. "He really is an Outlander." Mauti looked at him. "Oooohhh nice and slaaaack." Thelugi said with a smirk. "I'll leave ya to some QT."
