Heroes of Skyrim [OPEN]

A silver Khajiit had just arrived in the cold lands of Skyrim in the middle of the night. She had been banished from her homeland in Elsweyr and been left on the boarder of Skyrim. She had no wish to return there. Nor did she intend to stay here for very long. Arya, was about twenty three and had learnt early on in life, that it wasn't easy to survive in Tamriel. She had been banished for theft and trying to steal from the king. How she had gotten off without losing her life was still puzzling her.

Still. She was alive and intended to live, even in these cold lands for a time. The Khajiit had brilliant blue eyes and a set of scars across her nose, showing hardship. She wore a large travel cloak, but underneath she wore armour of dragon scales. She had forged this herself many moons ago and wore it with pride.

As she walked along the road, she shivered. She was not accustomed to the harsh cold of Skyrim and was seeking an inn to stay in. Though, the roads were looking bare and no light could be seen ahead. Arya sighed. This was going to be a tough night.

The closest inn to the Khajit was "the dancing mare." It was a average six bedroom in in the cornor a cloacked hooded imperial sat smoking a pipe. He took a sip of his cider examing a man sitting at the bar the Imperial clutched at his dagger a bard was in the center of the room phe was playing "the age of opression."

Arya wandered the roads for atleast two hours untill eventually she spotted light up ahead. Sighing with relief, she walked up to the door and pushed it open. She was not suprised to see that the people occupying the Inn all suddenly glared at her and checked their pockets. Arya was used to this. Her kind were always accused of thievery. Arya was no exception, though she hadn't the energy to fight.

She walked over to the man behind the bar.

"I'd like a room for the night and some mead to warm my belly" She said in the usual Kajhiit accent, though her voice was soft and lonely sounding.

The man looked at her for a moment before accepting her coin.

"Alrigh', but no thievin alrigh? I've got me eye on you cat" He said, taking the money off her.

Arya smirked slightly and did not answer.

"You should of kept your eye on the dread farthers dagger." The imperial said he had inserted his dagger into the side of the inn keepers chest pucturing his heart. "May Sithius have mercy as I didnt" he said pulling his blade out of the man he seathed it and begin walking away he knew that the first thing the crowds would blame would be the Khajit. But as long as he returned to the sactury in one piece he was happy.

Arya's eyes widened as the events unfolded before her eyes. One minute she was sipping mead, the next she had smashed the bottle as the assassin had killed the Inn Keeper. She looked at the Imperial and immediately recognized who he was. A assassin of the Dark Brotherhood. She grabbed the coin off the corpse and fled after the man. She was tired, but she would not wait around for the guard to come and kill her. Luckily for Arya she had kept her hood up, so she could avoid being described to the guard.

She ran through the crowd and through the door after the man.

"That was some pretty impressive blade work back there, assassin. So, the Dark Brotherhood lives in Skyrim too? Amazing" She called after him.

The imperial turned round to the Khajit his masked face looking at her the razour sharp dagger was placed agaist the cats neck. "We are everywhere as long as the black sacrament is peformed we will kill any but our family."

Arya laughed.

"Dear Brother...." She said, pushing the blade away with her gauntlet-ed hand. "I am one of you"

She narrowed her eyes and looked at him seriously now.

"The sanctuary in Elsewyr was burnt to the ground. I was the only survivor there and the others all perished. For years I tried to re-form our group, but people were to fearful of dying after the 'incident'" She growled.

"Tell me, is Arnbjorn among you still?" She asked casually.

"Hmm well if your one of us you'll answer this riddle if not......I'll cut you down were you stand......sister." he said the last word sarcastically. He drew the second of his razor sharp blade "What is the music of the night." He smiled even the finest imperial spies wouldn't know this only a true brother of the brotherhood knew this riddle.

Arya's eyes twinkled in the night and she smirked somewhat as he asked her this. Ignoring the blades, she said casually.

"Silence my brother"

Pleased with herself, her look turned stern again. Quick as lightning, she now had a blade pressed to his neck.

"Your turn. What is life's greatest illusion?"
