Long Road Ahead [ Shadowfax + Wolf Song] -Private-

Xandra grumbled something to herself about humans and nodded at Kili silently. She placed her hand on the wound as the wetness of the blood gushed from the wound. She was losing alot of blood and quickly too. "I think we should get a move on." Xandra replied to Kili coolly. Slowly, she moved shambled across the room and down the staircase with ease, surprisingly.

But it wasn't until she reached the bottom of the stairs that she cringed in pure agony. She let out a howl of pain when she moved her injured leg. Her loud cry caught the attention of a man who had just gotten into his vehicle. He peered down the alleyway and Xandra caught his eye. The man then got out of his car and came wandering down towards her when he noticed the injury she was covering with her palms. Xandra felt the need to turn into her wolf form and run off but the pain held her back.

Kili helped her along, but he could tell she was in serious pain with her leg. As they neared the bottom of the stairs, a loud howl escaped Xandra's throat and Kili couldn't help but wince. As he feared, a human had noticed and was now wandering over to them. Panic was threatening to overtake, but he fought it back and looked at Xandra as if trying to reassure her. As the man neared them Kili saw that he had taken note of Xandra's wound.

"We're on the way to the hospital. Some damn gang members shot her" He said hoping this man wouldn't delay them.

The man found himself caught off guard by Kili, making him jump back when he spoke up. He narrowed his eyes at the two of them and didn't say much. But the second Xandra let out another yelp of pain, he walked to her side and put his arm under hers and around her back. Xandra didn't fight back because of the pain coursing through her. However she was fully aware that she was allowing a human to help and touch her.

A few steps later they reached the back seat of the car where Xandra lay down in the back, cringing and contorting herself whenever she felt agony shoot up through her leg. The man hopped into the drivers side of the vehicle and yelled for Kili to hurry up.

Kili whispered in Xandra's ear as the human rushed to help. It's ok He had said as they helped her along and placed her into the back of the car. Kili rushed round when the man called to him and without hesitation he was in the passenger seat ready to move.

"Thank you for your help" He managed to say to the man who he wasn't sure of what his intentions were.

The young wolf looked over his shoulder at Xandra in the back seat and prayed that she would keep her human form.

"Are we far from the hospital?"

"Are we far from the hospital?"

"It's right up the road. Just a few blocks away." The man replied to Kili as he hit down on the brake when they reached a red light. He muttered something to himself under his breath and turned to the passenger side. "Get some napkins from the compartment and apply pressure to that wound." Xandra fixed her eyes on the man as he drove along, only catching a glimpse of his head from the seat. Images of buildings blurred past her as they drove on. Her silvery eyes moved to glimpse at Kili, silently begging him to get her out of here.

Kili nodded and did as he was told. The young wolf fumbled about untill he found the napkins the man had asked him to retrieve. Taking them out the packet he gently applied pressure to the wound on Xandra's leg hoping she wouldn't shy away. He felt blood drench the first napkin so swiftly switched to another clean napkin. He looked down at her eyes and saw her looking at him with a slight look of unease.

"It's ok" He uttered once again.

He then lowered his voice to a whisper.

"I think this human's ok. He smells alright and he is helping us so fear not"

Xandra nodded at Kili's response and hoped he was right. But from the way things seemed to be going, the human seemed alright. If not then why would he have helped her in the first place. Before she could contemplate her thoughts anymore, the car screeched to a halt in front of a enormous building.

It towered so far into the sky in looked as if the clouds were consuming it whole. A bad feeling swelled deep inside of her as she shifted her position to get of the vehicle. The man attempted to put an arm around her shoulder but she pulled away defensively. If in wolf form, she would've growled and snapped. Whether or not she hurt, she could still walk on her own even if it was strained.
