Ashelin, who went by the name Ash was sitting at the foot of a tree. The shadows of the branches danced around her as she gazed at the other kids in the camp playing. The desire to join in was not within this young teen.

Ash was fourteen, one of the older ones here. She had blond hair, bluey green coloured eyes and wore jeans, a light blue hoodie and black trainers. She was older than her years and had a serious problem with socializing. Her mother had dropped her off here last week so she had been here four days and already. Despite not wanting to go, her parents had forced the issue and resulted in threatening her with cheer leading camp as an alternative. Reluctantly, Ash agreed to come here.

"Hey, do you wanna come play soccer with us?" A young boy with a green hat asked her.

"No" Ashelin replied rather abruptly.

The boy frowned and shook his head before running off to join his older brother and the rest of their friends. Ash rolled her eyes and looked back at the grass in-front of her. She would always be a loner.

Natsuko Hayashi, usually known as Natsu, was standing near one of the camping houses, deeply lost in thoughts. She didn't truly understand what she did here. After all dreams about coming to the Summer Camp, it seemed totally pointless now. She didn't know anyone in there, nor did she want to meet someone. She couldn't just trust a person she met half an hour ago. That wasn't her. Even though, she did wish she was more open.

Natsu was a thirteen years old student who moved from Highton View Terrace last year, after her parents' divorce. She wore purple sweater, blue jeans and red sandals. From this point, she couldn't wait to come back home. She missed her father, plus she missed her every day routine which seemed to have nothing with this world in here. She was approaching all those kids playing soccer, not wanting to admit how envious she is of them. They knew how to spend their holidays, and how to truly enjoy them. She felt so lonely.

However, little did she know about the world waiting for her, and, especially, how far her coming home really is.

Ash looked up to see another kid approaching. She sighed. This girl looked a little younger than herself, but she sensed something about her... Like she was similar to herself. Ashelin shook her head and resumed staring at the grass. She would often do this at home. Just go off into a trance and think about stories. This one was about a medieval world and dragons. She smirked and began to pick at the grass.

The other kids had finished their games of soccer and were now either climbing trees, talking among themselves or going inside. Ashelin looked up at them for a moment out of the corner of her eye. They all seemed so content and happy.

Then the weirdest thing happened. A snowdrop fell from the sky and landed on the grass infront of her. Ash blinked and looked up at the sky as a sudden over cast of snow cloud came rolling in.

"What the hell?" She muttered aloud.

Natsu gave a quick smile to the girl sighing. Somehow, to her, she seemed different than the other kids. She somewhat liked Ash, for she was just as much of a loner as she was. She looked at her once more, and kept thinking. Yeah, thinking was always extremely fun to her. It kept her busy, and prevented her from feeling bored. Plus, she often had some genius ideas, however, she rarely spoke about them, even to her parents. She never had friends, though, maybe if she had it would be different. But no...

Suddenly, she noticed a snowflake. What was that? She looked in calender once more. Yeah, it was still a July. Plus, it was a summer camp. What was happening? She just couldn't understand. Even though she was usually able to understand things better than the others, this was too much for her.

"Ummm, what's happening?" she asked Ash, hoping she doesn't sound too stupid. "Don't you think it's peculiar?" she added.

Ash tutted as the other kids who had gone in came running out once again. The little boy with the green hat nearly trod on her hand so she scowled at him before getting to her feet. More and more snowflakes began to fall, until there was a thin blanket of white covering the camp grounds.

She turned her head when Natsu spoke to her. For a moment it took Ashelin a while to realize that she was speaking to her. Ash raised an eyebrow and looked at her suspiciously. What did this girl want?

"Worlds gone crazy" She replied in her usual blunt tone.

Just then, one of the older boys threw a snowball and it landed on the tree trunk behind her and Natsu.

"Watch it you idiot" She snarled at Tai.

Ash tutted as the other kids who had gone in came running out once again. The little boy with the green hat nearly trod on her hand so she scowled at him before getting to her feet. More and more snowflakes began to fall, until there was a thin blanket of white covering the camp grounds.

She turned her head when Natsu spoke to her. For a moment it took Ashelin a while to realize that she was speaking to her. Ash raised an eyebrow and looked at her suspiciously. What did this girl want?

Natsu nodded at Ash, and said just "Yeah." It became obvious that she doesn't really want to speak to her, but she didn't really want to pretend that that mattered.

But yes. The world had gone crazy, and that was becoming more and more obvious each minute of their camp. It had been cold for days by then, but now, surrounded by snow everywhere, she was freezing. She sighed. She guess she could do nothing about it. After all, she was just a girl, no different from those other kids. No matter how she didn't want to admit it, she was.

She also spotted a snowball Tai threw. "Be careful," she told him shyly. "Someone could have gotten hurt." She knew that was probably not true, but still, she was rather paranoic. Plus, that boy, Tai, seemed rather irritating to her. Why in the world was he wearing goggles!?

Right then she spotted something even stranger than the snow... It seemed like the sky, but it was much closer to them, and it was rainbow-colored, and very beautiful. She started staring at it, but one moment she moved her eyes enough to see that most of the other kids haven't spotted it yet. What was happening? And why? She just couldn't understand, again.

Ash's eyes darted to the rainbow as it suddenly appeared in the sky before them. She tilted her head to the side slightly as if she thought she were dreaming. What on earth was going on here? Why was there snow and rainbows appearing all over the place? Trying to make sense of it only hurt Ashelin's head so she just admired the pretty colours before her.

"What on earth is going on?" She said, but more to herself.

"I have no idea," Natsuko admitted. "It's all so... unscientific. This shouldn't be happening." Just like Ash, Natsu also said it to herself, but still, she said it pretty loudly.

The children were looking at her like she's not normal, so she just blushed. This rainbow... it was amazing. But was it a rainbow? It certainly didn't look like now. Plus, normal rainbows don't appear in combination with snow, especially not in July. This had to be sky, but weird sky, that's for sure. Something was happening. She felt it in the air.

She felt a strong wind, and suddenly, a strong yellow light came out of that rainbowish sky, and something weird clashed against the earth. And even weirder, something came out of there. It was a small device she never saw before. "This is too unscientific as well!" she thought. She was aware of most of the newest technology stuff, but she never saw anything like that.

She looked around, and noticed that most of the kids were still playing. Could it be that nobody noticed that besides her and Ash? Ash... she looked at her. "Do you know what this is?" she asked her, showing the device she held.

Ashelin nearly yelled out with fright as the crash sounded around her and Natsu. Over to their right, the other seven kids were also shielding themselves from something. When the crashing ceased, Ash's attention was turned to a bubble rising up towards her. She caught it in her hands instinctively and looked down at the little device in her hand.

She saw that Natsu also had one and when she asked her what it was Ashelin merely shrugged and went back to staring at it with deep interest. She turned it around in her hands and pressed a few of the buttons, but nothing seemed to happen.

Another rumble could be heard though and Ash's eyes widened in utter horror as a tidal wave was rushing towards them. Her first thought was 'run' But she was rooted to the spot and couldn't move as the wave got closer and closer.
