Survivors - (Tsuki, Shadowfax and AmyMarie)

[Tsuki]

Gabriel frowned as Ash snapped at Sam. He was about to tell her that that was uncalled for but decided it was probably for the best that he didn't say anything. If there were people after them, they had to work together. When Ash asked if there was a way out, he looked over at the door.

"Only that door I'm afraid. Unless..."

He looked up at the hole in the ceiling which allowed the smoke from the fire to escape. Had that attracted attention? He swore under his breath. But surely they couldn't make it out of there. Or the window. He looked back at Ash, hoping that she had a solution.

"Damn it..." Ash muttered as the voices got louder and louder by the moment.

She walked over to the table and turned it onto its side as quietly as she could. She ducked down behind it, grabbing hold of Sam's backpack and dragging him behind it too. She hoped Gabriel would catch on and hide too. Ash made sure to keep a firm hold of her handgun however as the voices got louder and louder.

"Stinks this place... Dunno why we have to raid it anyway.. We've got medicine" One of the men said.

"Never know, there might be some survivors we could use" The other replied.

"Yeh.. the boss would love that" replied the other one.

Ash grit her teeth. They would soon be passing the room.

Gabriel watched as Ash turned the table and hide behind it. He caught on and hid behind it himself, his shotgun still in his arms. As the voices got louder, he gripped his shotgun and glanced at Ash. What were they going to do? They couldn't escape. Like Ash, he just hoped they pasted on quickly and didn't take a lot of his medication. The sides of his mouth twitched. Ash had been right though. His medication wouldn't last forever. And when that day came....he shook his head. No. He had to focus on the here and now.

(Fail Toast)

"Hey, we could always use some extra raiders... He is the ruler of the new world after all so he needs to build his society" The older of the two said.

"I guess so, hey look here there is a room that looks like it could have some medicines in" The man he was with said.

Ash's heartbeat quickened, though she was also intrigued about this 'new ruler' who had proclaimed the world his. She cocked the gun in her hand and awaited them to open the door. After a moment, they entered the room and Ash knew it was a case of fight or be killed. She had the element of surprise though. She briefly looked at Gabriel and Sam, both of who looked a bit on edge. Ashelin knew she had to act fast, or she would be spotted. Without hesitation, she leapt to her feet and aimed the gun at the bigger of the two men.

"What new ruler?" She demanded.

"Oh.. it's just a woman. We could use with some of those too" The other man said, going to pick his own gun out the holster on his side.

Ash took aim at the mans hand, squeezed the trigger and grazed his hand with the bullet that came from the gun. At the noise of the bullet, Sam winced and put his arms over his head.

"You stupid little b***h!" The man said as his gun was sent clattering to the floor.

"Answer the question, or next time i'll kill you" Ash snarled dangerously.

Gabriel grit his teeth as the men entered the room. How were they going to get out of this one or at least not be detected. He held his breath. Maybe they would be to busy looking for supplys that they would walk right past them. But just then, Ash gave away her location and shot one of the guys. It didn't kill him though. He swore under his breath. That was uncalled for. Of all the dumb things to too. She was far too headstrong and if she was going to act like this then he would probably leave her to it. But he was also intruigied about this "New ruler". Could this person help them out? He sighed and stood up next to Ash, his shotgun pointed at the other guy.

"Answer her." he said bluntly without even a glance at Ash.

Ash smirked as blood began to run down the mans hand. She had meant to cause some fear in him and by the look of it had succeeded. She didn't want to admit it, but she also felt alot more confident when Gabriel stood alongside her, his own gun raised at the other two. The men saw him and grit their teeth in frustration. They were now being held at gunpoint by two people who they had not expected to bump into. Sam meanwhile just stayed behind the table, hands still over his head in his fear.

The men looked at one another. One was taller with brown hair and stubble, the other had black hair and looked about forty. They both looked back at the two and decided to answer.

"Our boss. He runs a small village in west London. We can take you to him if you li-" But they were soon wincing as another shot hit the floor, inches from their toes.

"Like hell you will" Ash growled.

Gabriel listened with interest as the men explained that their boss was running a small village. But then he frowned.

"If your Boss is running a village....why did he send you two here to get supplys? Surely this village has enough if it can be run."

But a thought occured to him. Ash had been right. His medication wouldn't last forever. Maybe it was time he needed people to help him survive. He was about to reply when Ash fired at the man again. He grit his teeth and looked at Ash, his temper rising.

"Can you just please stop being trigger happy for one minute. They might be onto something."

He turned to look back at the men.

"What's in it for us?"

As he asked this he started coughing again.

Ash locked eyes with Gabriel for a moment before he started coughing. She didn't want to look too concerned, but with him coughing she knew she'd have to keep a close eye on these two new comers. She was suspicious with how they acted when they first entered the room and saying 'they could use some women' made her feel uneasy. Her military training had always caused her to be suspicious and in this new world full of thieves and gangs, she wasn't taking any chances.

"We are still low on supplies. We were looking for medicine today as there are a few elderly in our village who are sick" One of the men said convincingly.

"I don't trust them" Ash said aloud.

"Gabriel, are you ok?" Sam suddenly said, leaping from his hiding place out of concern for his friend.

[Tsuki]

Gabriel wiped his lips with the back of his hand and looked at Sam to reassure him that he was Ok and it was just his infection playing up. He turned back to look at the men and his eyes softened slightly as they mentioned elderly needing help and he was suddenly reminded of his Nan. Where was she now? Had she survived the outbreak? He doubted it and he looked away slightly, trying to hide his thoughts. He then sighed and looked back at the men.

"What medicine do the elderly need?"

"Anything.. Anything that will just help boost their immune systems. Even paracetamol and bandages will help" One of the men said, his hands still on his head as Ash remained defensive. She wasn't taking any chances here.

"So you have a village? Are there kids there? Is there any virus there?" Sam asked hopefully.

"Kids.. er.. yeh.. a few. And no virus there either" The other man said causing Sam's eyes to widen with joy.

Ash was studying his body language and still detected lies. Perhaps they were ok really.. But she wasn't getting good vibes off these two people at all. Sam however was delighted by the prospect of being able to be with children his own age so wiped out all doubt.

"Look... can we just get some supplies and go now?" The men asked, but this was aimed at Gabriel rather than Ash.

Ash looked at him and shook her head slowly.
