Do these 4K Blu-Rays require a new 4K Blu-ray player to work? I am only just now considering upgrading to a Blu-ray player.

That would be awesome if it's true. Well, they did a re-release of the original animated film of Beauty and the Beast with a sneak peek of the remake so I wanted them to do that for The Lion King. However, Disney, in my opinion, poorly decided to re-release the film on standard Blu-Ray last year instead of holding off on it for a year in order to promote the remake. So, it feels too soon to do another home video re-release.
